Member Institutions:
Background:
Formed in 1983, the Sydney College of Divinity began as a consortium of theological colleges in Sydney. Further development has seen the College reach beyond the Sydney basin to provide theological education across Australia, in New Zealand, and by distance across the world. Our History
Our ecumenical commitment grows stronger each year. Our member institutes offer courses in line with their church traditions and ethos, while all work together to ensure the academic integrity of the degree programs. To see the broad range of our eleven member institutions follow this link.
Programs:
We teach a range of degree programs, from undergraduate programs in theology or in arts, postgraduate degrees, through to research degrees including three doctoral awards.
New Institutions:
The Sydney College of Divinity welcomes the admission of new member institutions who embrace our aims, ethos and educational philosophy. See section 7.3 of the Policy and Procedures manual for further information. You will need to contact the SCD office for the password.
HEP:
The Sydney College of Divinity is registered as a Higher Education Provider. Our degrees and awards are accredited by the NSW Department of Education and Training (NSW DET), with a number of awards also registered in Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia and Tasmania.
The College is approved as a Higher Education Provider under the Higher Education Support Act 2003.
