1. Undergraduate
Diploma in Theology
A two-year full-time (or part-time equivalent) program
of study in theology, biblical studies and related disciplines.
Bachelor of Theology
A three year (or part-time equivalent) program leading
to the primary qualification in theology. The BTh is a comprehensive course
combining both theological and ministerial studies.
In order to ensure coherence of structure and sequencing
of units, a student can only obtain the BTh by fulfilling the particular
subject area and unit requirements of a Member Institution authorised
to offer the award and in which the student is enrolled. This award is
also available in distance education mode.
Bachelor of Theology (Korean Medium)
Same as BTh taught in the Korean language.
Bachelor of Theology (Honours)
The award aims to provide a stepping stone to research
in theology at the highest academic level.
This is a one-year (or part-time equivalent) program
for suitably qualified candidates holding the BTh. The program consists
of coursework and a thesis of 15,000-20,000 words.
2. Postgraduate
Master of Theology
A one-and-a-half-year (or part-time equivalent) program of
graduate study in theology and related disciplines for candidates with
the BTh or equivalent.
Master of Theology (Honours)
A two-year (or part-time equivalent) program of
graduate study in theology and related disciplines for candidates with
a BTh(Hons) or equivalent with results at not less than Second Class (Division
1).
Doctor of Theology
A doctorate in theology and related disciplines
by research and the submission of a thesis. Candidates should have completed
a four-year BTh(Hons) with results at First Class or Second Class (Division
1), or hold the SCD MTh(Hons). The duration is 4 years full-time or
12 years part-time.
Doctor of Ministry
Candidates must be graduates who have successfully
completed the equivalent of 4 years full-time study in theology and have
demonstrated a capacity for research and have at least four years full-time
experience in ministry. The duration is 4 years full-time or 12 years
part-time.
