Research Candidates: Enrolment Information

Students interested in beginning a research degree, please complete an Application Form and a Supplementary Application Form which you can download and forward with attachments to the Director (Research), Sydney College of Divinity

Living out of Sydney

It is possible for research candidates to live outside of Sydney.  However they need to give assurance to the SCD Research Degree Committee that they can easily access supervision, quality library resources, research seminars, workshops and other provisions of the degree that require attendance.

International Students

The SCD welcomes applications from potential research candidates who would like to come to Australia to study. However, the SCD does not involve itself in arranging student visas. That must be attended to by the prospective candidate through the relevant Australian government agencies.

It is highly unlikely that any application would be accepted from any potential candidate who could not come to Australia to study, as it would be very difficult for that student to fulfil the required provisions for completing the degree.

For those of you for whom English is a second language, certain minimum language requirements have been determined by our government accrediting body, the New South Wales Department of Education and Training. At this level a student requires a minimum IELTS score of 7.0
