Postgraduate FEE-HELP information

FEE-HELP is a loan given to eligible fee-paying students to help pay part or all of their tuition fees.

All enrolled students who are Australian citizens (or currently in Australia on Humanitarian Visas) have access to Government loans for both undergraduate and post-graduate study. The loan amount available is up to $85,062 (indexed annually) and can be used over the lifetime of the student at all levels of higher education accredited training. The loan can be used for a single subject or a number of subjects, or for a complete award or a number of awards - it is the student’s choice. The repayment of the loan commences once a student’s taxable income exceeds $43,150 (for 2009/10). No loan fee applies to FEE-HELP loans for postgraduate courses.

To access FEE-HELP, students need to complete a Request for FEE-HELP Assistance form and submit it to the College before the commencement of a semester. Each student seeking FEE-HELP will be provided with a Commonwealth Higher Education Student Support Number (CHESSN) which is issued by the Government. This number remains with the student for their life time.
